We came to C'ville on October 4th, fully expecting to get our butts kicked and kicked badly. So, Jackie might have had one or two extra Mimosas to soften the blow! Kick off was scheduled for 7pm, so Bob & Jackie called Julie and arranged to stay at her new house instead of making the trip home at midnight. Tailgating was great. Bob made BBQ chicken ahead of time so it just had to be heated. We also brought shrimp to go with the chicken. Jeannie & Lee could not make the game but did come to tailgating after the game. So before the game, Corey, AJ, Cooper, Bob & Jackie were joined by Allie and Beth (Lee's sister). As we were all standing around in the parking lot at U-Hall, a white Range Rover pulls up across from us, and this guy says, "nice to see true UVA fans; keep it up. Go Hoos"! As he's saying, Go Hoos, Allie and AJ say, "Hey, that's Chris Long!!" He and the guy who were driving, then pull out. Corey immediately goes on his blackberry to see if St. Louis had a by week, and sure enough they did. I thought Corey was going to poop his pants!!!! Then at the stadium, Chris Long raised the Power Orange flag! Then came THE GAME; and what a GAME it was!!!! UVA BEAT MD - 31-0!!!!!!! We all were hoarse by the end of the game!
Bob & Jackie stayed at Julie's new house in C'ville - which is beautiful! We also saw Alli Bowns and her boyfriend. We went down to the Corner on Sunday and did some shopping and got some Little John's sandwiches for the road. It was a great weekend!
