After the MD game last week, we were fired up, thinking we had a new team for the season! Bob & Jackie took Maddie down on Friday night to C'ville and stayed at the Cavalier Inn. What fun! We watched the UVA band practicing on the field across from the Cavalier Inn and who did Maddie get to see - Cav Man!!! But she suddenly became shy and wouldn't go near him! He waved and threw her kisses, but no cigar - she wouldn't come out from behind Grammy's legs! The next morning we headed to U Hall at 7:15am. Cooked eggs and potatoes and peppers an onions and sausage. Jeannie, Lee, Allie, Jessie, Jessie's friend, Lindsay, Beth and some other friends joined us and Corey & AJ & Cooper. Then came the game - the first 10 minutes into the 1st quarter looked like the old team - crummy! Then they started to pour it on and won - 35-20! Tailgating after the game, we had hamburgers and hot dogs and salads. Delicious!
